My eye dr. recommends no rubbing at all. Just take out, rinse per the instructions on the solution bottle and store in clean solution. I have no problems with this method.

Well, the best thing to do is to follow your eye care specialist advice. I’ve been using contacts for 15 or 16 years and I have always rubbed them in a circular motion. They are perfectly clean and I have never scratched any of them.

If you think that back and forth might run the risk of having your nails in the way, try left and right. That’s what I do and I’ve never torn or scratched my lenses in any way. And I’ve been wearing contact lenses for about 11 years.

yes . of course . if not, they’re gonna dry out being like paper and then u can’t use them anymore .

If you rub it back and forth you stretch the lense and damage it with your nails.
I find the circular motion far more natural, gentle and practical.
